Antiestrogens are medications that act as antagonists of the estrogen receptors and/or inhibiting or suppressing production of estrogen in the body. Certain transgender medications have been found to antagonize estrogen receptors. Although it's not considered an antiestrogen medication, progesterone has mild antiestrogenic properties on certain estrogen receptors.
