Antiestrogens are medications that act as antagonists of the estrogen receptors and/or inhibiting or suppressing production of estrogen in the body.[1] Certain transgender medications have been found to antagonize estrogen receptors. Although it's not considered an antiestrogen medication, progesterone has mild antiestrogenic properties on certain estrogen receptors.
